In the Midst of Chaos

On May 31, 2021, I was praying... and suddenly I was in the Spirit. I was moved away, and I saw a great swirling abyss. As it swirled, lives were lost and fell down into the abyss, hundreds of thousands falling down into this massive swirling abyss. It was huge and terrifying, as if the depth of it was bottomless and there was no end to its destructive power. And I was afraid that I would be pulled down into it.

And I saw Christians, many people, representing many churches and denominations, circling along the edges of the abyss trying to escape the pull it had on their lives. They were like mighty ships circling the edges of a massive vortex. Those ships in comparison to the vortex were small and weak.

And I said, “Lord, what is this?” And the Spirit said to me, “Walk into the center of the abyss.” I was afraid, too afraid, to walk out over the abyss, but He said, “Don’t be afraid; follow Me.” I reached for His hand as it appeared He was facing me. From an overwhelming light, He took my hand in his right hand, and my wife took my left hand, and He led us to the center of the abyss, and we walked, as if on air, above the swirling mass below us.

I was afraid to look down into the bottomless swirling hole below, but He said, “Look at it!” I looked, and it was powerful and massive, spinning, and deafening, roaring and turning, too loud to comprehend.

Then the Lord said, “Touch it, son of man. Touch it, Son.”

I was still holding His hand, and as I reached down to touch it, I saw His hand holding my hand, but my hand was like that of a small child small. As I touched it, I was suddenly aware that I was a small child again, sitting in the bath tub in the home where I was raised, watching water go down the drain. Playing with the water, as each time my finger touched the swirling water, the swirl stopped, and as I lifted my finger it began to swirl again. Each time I touched the spinning water, it was disrupted.

Then the Lord said, “I send you into the midst of chaos. Disrupt it.”
